The Lost Road
A New Sam Brothers Album
After a busy couple of years playing shows all over Europe and Asia to promote “The Folksinger EP”, I've been back in the studio over the past few months recording my new album “The Lost Road”.
Recording is mostly taking place at MyMixMaster near Canterbury and the album is being produced by Neil Sullivan (Gorrilaz, Chris Difford, The Blockheads). However, some of the recording is taking place at Jet Studios in Brussels. Various artists including Edith Piaf, Iggy Pop and The Rolling Stones have recorded there over the years.
Stewart Hughes has provided some excellent drum parts on the album and a whole host of others, including ex-Rolling Stones Bassist /Pretty Things Guitarist Dick Taylor will be contributing parts.
Although the material doesn't stray too far away from established folk roots, there's a lot more rock and blues elements helping expand the sonic landscape. There are 13 tracks being recorded in total and the songs largely reflect themes of loss, global issues and transformation.
There are plans currently being made for a large release show in South-East England in April 2027, as well as a larger, extended tour that will likely be my biggest adventure to date. The scheduled release date for the album is Tuesday 13th April 2027.
Although a lot of progress has already been made, I really need your help at this stage to get this project over the finish line and ready for release this time next year. This project is being done completely independently without any music industry backing. Here is what is on offer -

There will be other costs involved, mainly in terms of marketing, but this will be covered by myself.
